Police following "promising leads" in Floyd Road homicide

COLUMBUS, GA (wrbl) - New information in a deadly Columbus shooting

Police say they're working through leads in a Friday shooting which killed one man and left another injured at the "Lucky Mart" on Floyd Road.

The Muscogee County Coroner's Office says 20-year-old Nicholas Morris died Sunday from his wounds. Police say Tommy Tombs was the other man who was shot, but no word yet on his condition.

Authorities say they're now focusing on what they believe are promising leads which could be the break they need to make an arrest.
