Suspects arrested in Troup County home invasion

TROUP COUNTY, Ga (WRBL) - Two Troup County suspects are receiving multiple charges after a  possible home invasion. 

24-year-old Jalen Smith, of Hamiliton, Ga and 19-year-old Keashone Rogers of Pine Mountain have been charged with Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Firearm during certain felonies, Aggravated Battery, and Armed Robbery.

Troup County Sheriff's Office says the home invasion happened on Wednesday morning. Officials say they found the 19-year-old victim with a large lump under his right eye, a laceration to his stop lip on the right-hand side was swollen and filleted open, blood all over his face, hands and shirt.

Officials say the victim says he possibly knew who was in the house because he recognized their voice.

The victim says the two people were wearing masks and he was asleep when they came inside. He says after attacking him, the suspects stole a cell phone, a pair of shoes, a PlayStation game system, and illegal narcotics from the victim. 

Officials say they located the two suspects at a home in Meriwether County.They say they were taken into custody without incident.
