6:00 p.m. -- JR Allen Parkway was reopened back to traffic just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.

11:30 a.m. -- The westbound lanes of JR Allen Parkway just before the bridge into Phenix City remain blocked Wednesday after two tractor trailers crashed sometime around 6 a.m.

Just before noon, News 3's Ashley Lewis is on the scene and watched crews attempting to pull one trailer right side up after it had flipped in the initial crash.

Columbus Police Major J.D. Hawk says while the trailer has been moved, the problem now is cleaning up the contents that spilled out when the container flipped. He says all lanes will remain blocked until sometime around 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. ET.

Hawk also confirms one driver involved was rushed to Midtown Medical Center and is in critical condition. The victim's name has not been released.

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Columbus Police dispatch confirms an accident on JR Allen Parkway westbound is blocking traffic on the bridge into Phenix City.

Drivers in the area tell News 3 it appears an 18-wheeler and a log truck were caught in a collision at the highway entrance ramp from 2nd Avenue. One woman says the 18-wheeler's trailer is flipped onto its side, blocking the road.

Dispatch advises all motorists to avoid the JR Allen Parkway bridge's westbound lanes at this time. All lanes are blocked as police, fire, and EMS responders try to move the flipped trailer out of the area.

The 2nd Avenue on ramp is also blocked to keep motorists off the bridge. Detours are being set up at this time.

A News 3 reporter on the scene says no injuries have been reported at this time.
