Watch for afternoon/evening storms

Updated:

Scattered downpours will continue across the Tampa Bay area until after sunset. "Most of the heavy rain will be east of I-75," said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Leigh Spann. Temperatures will slowly fall through the 80s this evening with lows in the mid 70s. "We should wake up mostly sunny tomorrow morning, and a wind flow from the Gulf of Mexico develops during the day," said Spann. That pattern will bring in higher humidity, and it will push afternoon storms even farther inland. Tomorrow's rain chance is 30% with highs in the low 90s.  "The onshore wind may cause a shower or two along the coast by early Thursday morning," said Spann. The rain migrates east during the day tomorrow, and highs will be in the low 90s. Storm Team 8 is still tracking Tropical Depression 2 in the central Atlantic Ocean.  The forecast keeps the system very weak and eventually dissipates it by Thursday.
