“The holiday weekend is ahead and you can expect typical summertime weather for it,” said Storm Team 8 Meteorologist Julie Phillips.

Friday night showers and storms will continue late into the evening. Overnight the rain wraps up and temps will drop back into the upper 70s.

Saturday morning expect nothing but sunshine! By Saturday afternoon more clouds will build though and storms will develop. Showers and storms will likely start around 2pm in inland spots and then push toward the coast by the late afternoon and evening. There is a 40% chance of rain with a high near 93.

Sunday will be a nearly identical day. The southeasterly flow will allow rain to develop inland and push toward the coast again. Temps will still be above average near 93 with a 40% chance of storms. Labor Day you can expect a similar pattern to develop as well
