David Reese - WRBL

David Reese

David is excited to call the Chattahoochee River Valley home. He joined the First Alert Weather Team in October 2010 and can be seen Monday through Friday on News 3 This Morning and News 3 Midday.

Originally from Sarasota, Fla., he went to Florida State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology.

David has always had a passion for weather and his interest really peaked when Hurricane Charley roared ashore in Florida in August 2004. It intensified quickly and took a hard right turn south of Sarasota. Since then, he worked diligently to be a broadcast meteorologist, so he can keep people safe during the most stressful weather situations.

Spending time in the weather center is his love and passion. He was a meteorologist for Florida State's Weather Show for two years and at ABC 7 in Sarasota, Fla., where he interned both in the weather center and out in the field with a photographer.

He will not miss being in the middle of a mass of people attempting to get interviews with politicians. He will, however, miss being along the beach in the winter.

When not forecasting weather, you can find him out at the parks either running, hiking, or biking, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The forecast for the high school football games tonight, albeit a little warm, but not as warm as last week. Temperatures at kickoff will be close to 90° with temperatures falling off into the low to mid 80s by the end of the game. Tomorrow's college games will have a chance of rain or storms all across the southeast including Arkansas v. Auburn, Clemson v. Georgia, and Alabama v. West Virginia at the Georgia Dome. So you might want to take the rain gear just in case.
