Brandice Hudson - WRBL

Brandice Hudson

Brandice Hudson is a weekend anchor and digital journalist for WRBL News 3. She comes to Columbus from sunny West Palm Beach, Fla., where she worked at WPTV NewsChannel 5 as a multimedia journalist and assignment desk editor. 

Throughout the week, Brandice covers everything from local government, crime, positive stories in the community and special "On Your Side" reports. During the weekend, she is an anchor and producer for News 3 Evening Edition (Saturday 7 p.m./6 p.m.Central Time) and News 3 Nightwatch (Sunday 11 p.m./10 p.m. Central Time).

Brandice grew up in Pensacola, Fla., and Alexandria, Va.; she is a graduate of Hampton University -- Go Pirates!

While in college, she worked as a mobile journalist for The Daily Press, co-hosted the Gospel Express Morning Show at WHOV 88.1 FM, and interned at WEWS in Cleveland, Ohio.  She was also selected as one of the first E.W. Scripps Corporate Apprentices. 

Brandice is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists. In her spare time, you can find Brandice mentoring students, volunteering in the community, doing ministry work or inspirational speaking.

She also enjoys baking goodies in the kitchen and working out…In that order!

    An Amber Alert has been canceled after 2-year old Maliah Harris was found safe in Georgia. Her 7-month-old sibling, Alyssa, was found dead and Maliah disappeared from a Mississippi home which prompted authorities to issue the alert. The girls parents, Donald Boyd Harris,34, and Allison Studdard, 31, are now in custody.
