Columbus Police have issued an additional warrant of murder for 21-year-old Dequandrea Truitt.
Initally Truitt was charged with aggravated assault.
Police believe Truitt fired shots inside Majestic Sports Bar, as well as outside in the parking lot.
Police confirm that Truitt is also wanted on a charge of Criminal Attempted Murder in Phenix City, Ala.
Police say an altercation led a suspect to start shooting inside Majestic Sports Bar on Cusseta Road, killing 24-year-old Charles Foster Jr., and wounding at least five others inside.
Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Charles Newton says Foster was shot in the chest. An autopsy will be performed in Atlanta.
The shooting happened around 2 a.m., just a couple of hours after the new year began. As revelers fled the building there was more shooting in the bar's parking lot. Police say shots were fired into a car, injuring at least one more person New Year morning.
Police worked until sunrise, interviewing 15 to 20 people and collecting evidence they hope will lead to an arrest soon. Investigators tell News 3 a suspect ran away toward Andrews Road and has not yet been apprehended.
