Reuben Foster officially signs with Alabama

Posted:
AUBURN, Ala. -

One guy that is very relieved for signing day to finally be here is Auburn High School's Reuben Foster.

The five star linebacker remained faithful to his Monday night commitment. He will play for Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Foster says he had to make the best business decision for him and his family.

He says growing up an Alabama fan played a huge role in his final choice. He says the coaching staff was thrilled when he verbally committed on Monday.

"I ain't talked to them (Wednesday)," said Foster. "But, when I committed, I told them ‘Roll Tide!' Coach Saban was happy and Coach Smart was too."

Foster says the recruiting process taught him a lot about himself.

"I learned about myself that I don't like to see people sad," said Foster. "I want to please everybody, but I realized I can't please everybody. There is going to be some sad people out there."

But, he stated that it's a relief to have the whole process behind him.

"It feels great to just get that stress off my shoulders and just tell the world that I'm going to the University of Alabama," said Foster. "I'm going to have that big ole A on."

He says Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn were all equal and he wanted to go to all three schools. He ultimately ended up at Alabama because that is where his heart is.
