Mr. Lester Sims of Carver High School wins MEA Golden Apple Award

This week's MEA Federal Credit Union Golden Apple Award winner is a 27 year veteran who is all about helping students.

The honor this week goes to longtime Carver High School teacher and coach Lester Sims.

Coach Sims was nominated by former student Amie Collins who says sims encouraged her to keep working and to stay in school when she wanted to quit.

Sims says helping students to reach their full potential has always been his mission.

Congratulations again to teacher Lester Sims this week's MEA Federal Credit Union Golden Apple Award winner.
