A few storms on the way

Posted: Updated:

A few sprinkles will greet us this morning, but nothing major. What little sunshine we see pop temperatures close to 70.

A line of showers and storms roll through the area this afternoon between 4-6. Some of the thunderstorms could be on the stronger side with damaging gusts and hail the primary threats. The cold front pushes all the rain out of the area by 8 this evening.

Temperatures take a nosedive into the mid 30s by tomorrow morning and we'll only warm into the mid 50s tomorrow afternoon. Winds will also gust from the NW between 25-35 mph.

A slow warming trend is expected to end the week, culminating in temperatures topping out near 70 this weekend. A stark contrast from last weekend's temperatures in the low to mid 40s.
