Great Weekend, Now Some Rain

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

We've had a terrific springlike weekend across Georgia and Alabama, but the clouds Sunday afternoon do signal a coming change.  A cold front will sweep east through the Southeast, bringing rain to the entire area.

This rain will spread into the area from west to east during the day Monday, continuing Monday night.  The front should pass through the entire region and on into central Georgia by sunrise Tuesday.

Cooler air will follow the front that will send our temperatures back to below normal for a couple days, but this time it won't be arctic air so not extremely cold.  Expect us to stay dry into next weekend as temperature recover back to the 70s within a few days.
