Georgia's Caldwell-Pope named SEC Player of the Year

ATHENS, Ga. -

Georgia sophomore guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was named the 2013 Southeastern Conference Player of the Year by league coaches on Tuesday.

Caldwell-Pope leads the Bulldogs in scoring, and is second in the SEC at 18.0 points per game. He ranks among SEC leaders in nine of the 13 statistical categories.

The Greenville, Ga. native is one of just nine players in all of NCAA Division I to score in double figures in all of his team's games.

In addition, Bulldog freshman Charles Mann was named to the SEC All-Freshman team, and Alabama guard Trevor Releford was an All-SEC first team selection.
