SAVANNAH, Ga. -

Savannah police are still searching for a missing body they said was stolen during a burglary at a local cemetery.

Officers were called to an east Savannah cemetery Monday after employees found two caskets that had been removed from their vaults from inside a mausoleum.

One of the caskets had been damaged and the body of a woman who died in 2001 had been removed from another casket. The woman's identity has not been released.

Police used a cadaver dog and a helicopter to search cemetery grounds, surrounding areas and storm water canals for the missing body.

Tipsters are asked to call Crime Stoppers at (912) 234-2020.
