A cooler start to Spring! - WRBL

A cooler start to Spring!

Posted: Updated:

Signs of Spring have certainly sprung! Tree pollen at its highest, flowers blooming, and the bees are buzzing. The only part of this equation missing, are some lower 70s for forecast high readings. The jet stream has taken a dip across the southeast region allowing cooler and unsettled air to filter in for the remainder of the week. High pressure will be flattened and not so strong while we see a more west to east (zonal pattern) air flow to move across the region; this will not allow us to warm up anytime soon. These systems are tracking across our region, with snow to our north and rain locally, with a few storms for the weekend.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Friday: A few light sporadic showers, mainly north and west. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Friday Night: Cloudy with a few light showers, with a low around 49. South wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Scattered showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 62.

Saturday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a low around 53.

Sunday: A few showers early in the day. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66.
