The start of the warming trend

We hit 49° yesterday, which is typically our average low this time of year. Have no fear! Warmer temperatures are in the forecast starting today. The mercury will climb above 60 for the first time since Sunday and finally eclipse the 70° as early as Friday. The low to mid 70s take hold Easter weekend.

A few weak disturbances will send a few clouds our direction Thursday and Saturday. A strong disturbance brings a chance of rain into the forecast Sunday afternoon. The associated cold front will stall across the region and provide us a chance of rain through the first half of next week.   

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny. Highs near 61.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear and cold. Lows near 38.

THURSDAY:  Partly cloudy. High: 67

Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Lows near 40.

FRIDAY:  Mostly sunny. High: 69

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Lows near 45

SATURDAY:  Partly cloudy. High: 71

Saturday Night: Few clouds. Lows near 50

SUNDAY:  Clouds increase with a very slight chance of rain late. High: 74

Sunday Night: Slight chance for showers. Lows near 53

MONDAY: Slight chance of showers, maybe a thunderstorm. High: 75

Monday night: Mostly cloudy. Low: 54

TUESDAY:  Mostly Slight chance of showers, maybe a thunderstorm. High: 75

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy. Lows near 56.

    A 62-year-old Chambers County man was arrested on two counts of Sexual Abusecharges. Authorities with the Chambers County Sheriff's Office say Johnny Bolt, of Five Points, walked into the sheriff's office this week and confessed to sexually abusing a family member under the age of 12. They say he was arrested Thursday and made bond that same day.
