Chicken Salad Chick founder receives award from Auburn

Posted: Updated:

The founder of Chicken Salad Chick, Stacy Brown, has been named "Young Business Person of the Year" from the Auburn, Alabama Chamber of Commerce.

Brown was the only recipient of the award for 2012 and was honored at last week's annual meeting held at Auburn University's Student Center.

"Being named business person of the year is a great honor, but not correct in my mind because I realize how many people have been a part of the team that has helped us succeed and get to where we are today," said Stacy Brown. "Our entire team is very honored and we look forward to more growth and success in the coming year."

The "Young Business Person of the Year" is awarded to someone in the area that has experienced great success in the early years of his or her business. Chicken Salad Chick just recently celebrated its five year anniversary and was a prime candidate for consideration.

"We have been enormously blessed with Stacy's passion for the Chicken Salad Chick concept and how much it has grown throughout the past year because of her," said Kevin Brown, president of Chicken Salad Chick.  "With her vision and dedication, the unique chicken salad creations are becoming a strong part of many communities throughout the southeast."
