Police: Altercation led to fatal stabbing in Brookhaven Trailer Park

OPELIKA, Ala. -

Opelika Police are investigating a murder.  It happened at Brookhaven Trailer Park, just after 6 p.m. Sunday evening.

Police say two people were stabbed in an altercation involving several people.  The two victims were transported to East Alabama Medical Center, where one of the victims was pronounced dead.  The other victim underwent surgery Sunday night. 

The victim's names have not been released yet.  Anyone with information is asked to call Opelika Police Department Investigative Services Division at (334) 705-5220 or the Secret Witness Hotline at (334) 745-8665.
