Heat, humidity make Monday tough for Tigers

AUBURN, Ala. -

The Auburn Tigers continued spring practice on Monday in by far the warmest conditions of the spring so far.

The heat and humidity from Sunday night's rain made conditions the most difficult the team has faced as they try to adapt to Gus Malzahn's up-tempo system.

"It was pretty much what we thought," Malzahn said. "We were going at a very fast pace. There were some mistakes, and it was pretty much offensively and defensively what we thought. The great thing is we've got a lot of room for improvement, and we felt like our guys were trying to do what we asked. It's just a matter of fighting through fatigue and just being more disciplined with our assignments."

Monday was Auburn's fourth practice of the spring. There are just over two weeks of spring practice left before A-Day on April 20.
