Opelika Power Services set to begin maintenance work

Posted: Updated:
OPELIKA, Ala. -

In a press release, Opelika Power Services announced that Osmose Utility Services will be back in Opelika again for the next five weeks doing utility pole inspections for the City.

They are scheduled to be in southwest Opelika, the Spring Villa, and Lake Hardin areas.  Weather permitting; crews will begin their work this week.

The service contractors will work between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Their trucks will have specific "Opelika Power Services Contractor" on the sides of their vehicles.  Crew members will be coming into yards and digging around utility poles but will not need to enter anyone's home.

The city asks that if any resident becomes concerned about vehicles parked along your street, or if you aren't sure who the workmen are, to call either Opelika Power Services Department (334.705.5570), or the Opelika Police Department (334.705.5200).
