Residents of the coastal Georgia city where a baby was fatally shot two weeks ago say they want more officers in their neighborhoods and that more done to get guns off the streets.
More than 150 citizens attended a town hall meeting Thursday in Brunswick, where police officials got an earful from citizens concerned about crime.
Richard Willis says it took police two hours to respond when a neighbor's home was burglarized recently. Felicia Harris says there was no call to action last November when she gave a eulogy for a young man who was slain.
Officials called the meeting after 13-month-old Antonio Santiago was fatally shot March 21 a few blocks from his mother's apartment. Police say they were targeted by robbers. Two teenagers have been charged with the murder.
