Here come the 80s - WRBL

Here come the 80s

Posted: Updated:

The 80s will begin springing up the next couple of days, our first string of 80 degree days in 2013. The ridge responsible for the warm temperatures will increase our humidity come Tuesday and Wednesday and create partly to mostly cloudy skies. It will also slow the advance of our next frontal system.

Speaking of our next frontal system, it looks to arrive during the day Thursday. The main concern at this time is the squall line forecast to move through sometime Thursday afternoon. It will be arriving in a weakened state, but damaging winds and hail are still a concern for us as the line passes. An isolated tornado may be possible, but not all that likely.

Cooler air moves in after the front as temperatures tumble back into the low to mid 70s Friday and Saturday.
