Atlanta language school officials indicted

Posted: Updated:

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) - Metro Atlanta English language school administrators have been indicted on charges of issuing fraudulent immigration documents to women who worked as prostitutes.

U.S. Attorney's office spokesman Bob Page says 52-year-old College Prep Academy CEO Dong Seok Yi conspired with the school's academic coordinator, 41-year-old Sook An Kil, to obtain fraudulent documents for women they claimed were students.

Page says the women were working as prostitutes in Korean bars and as many as half of the school's approximately 100 students were living in the country on fraudulent student visas.

The indictment charges Kil, Seok, and a California man with conspiracy and making false statements. It is unclear if they have attorneys and a call to the school was not answered.
