Weekend To Start Sunny, End Wet - WRBL

Weekend To Start Sunny, End Wet

Posted: Updated:

Saturday should hold up nicely under the influence of high pressure, as we maintain sunshine along with a few additional clouds, plus a nice boost in temperatures.

Things start to change Saturday night, with clouds expected to move back in as an upper level disturbance comes our way from the southwest.  This will lead to rain developing and moving in from the west starting Sunday afternoon and continuing through the night into Monday morning.  The rain will be concentrated close to the Gulf Coast, with our area more on the fringe of this system.

Thunderstorms may be possible, but only if sufficient instability is able to work its way this far north.  More rain chances are possible next week, with a stronger system expected to reach our area by Thursday.
