The upside of our soggy Sunday is that warmer weather is already on the way, and the rain and higher temperatures will help green things up all across the valley this upcoming week.
No cold front is associated with this rain system, and south winds will return on Monday to combine with sunshine and give us an 80-degree day. Tuesday and Wednesday will be even warmer, though a remote chance of an afternoon shower is possible either day with humidities remaining high.
Late in the week, a strong cold front will move in, giving us a round of showers and thunderstorms and then a return to cooler, drier conditions by next weekend. Timing and strength of that storm system will be pinned down as we go through the week.
