    A water slide in Florida collapsed Thursday, injuring 13 high school students and sending five of them to hospitals. The Fleming Island High School band was hosting a pool party at the Eagle Harbor Community pool at the time. Fire officials say there were 10 to 15 people on the slide, even though a sign on the stairs said only one person should be on the slide at a time.About one-third of the slide collapsed into a retention pond next to the pool. News Channel 11 has won a distinctive award for investigative reporting.  News Channel 11's Nate Morabito and Phillip Murrell won an Edward R Murrow Award for their investigation into Bad Bob's BBQ.    News Channel 11 started investigating the company after it failed to pay 22 employees proper minimum wage amounting to thousands of dollars in back pay.  Our investigation resulted in some of the employees getting their back pay.

As regional winners, Nate Morabito and Phillip Murrell will compete for a National Edward R. Murrow award this summer.

The Edward R. Murrow awards are presented by the Radio Television Digital News Association. RTDNA is the world's largest professional organization devoted exclusively to electronic journalism. The Edward R. Murrow awards recognize the highest quality work produced by radio, television and online news organizations.
