Three Patriots sign college NLIs

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Three Northside Patriot athletes signed national letters of intent to play in college on Friday.

Tiera White will play basketball at Tennessee Temple in Chattanooga, Tenn.

"It feels great knowing that I have another four years to play basketball at the next level and keep progressing and getting better," White said. "That's what I wanted to do from the start of everything."

Tiera Roberts is the first of two Patriots who will ply their trade at Columbus State. She will run track and cross country for the Cougars.

"It feels really good," she said. "It feels like an accomplishment, and it's one of my goals that I wanted to reach. I feel like I made myself and a lot of people proud."

Back on the hardwood, Patriot star RJ Sessions will join Robert Moore's Cougar basketball team, where he feels like he can make an immediate impact.

"If I don't start, I feel like I bring a spark off the bench defensively and offensively," he said. "I feel as though I can be sort of a hype man off the bench."

Last season, Sessions became the first player in Patriot history to score 1,400 career points, and led Northside to its first ever final four.
