More Fine Weather Expected on Sunday

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Temperatures on Saturday were more than 10 degrees below the seasonal average across much of the Chattahoochee Valley, in the cool air that followed Friday's strong cold front.  Columbus topped out with a high of 69 degrees Saturday afternoon.

We can expect more of the same on Sunday, although temperatures should at least be able to break the 70-degree mark, and we may see a few more clouds amidst the sunshine.

A wedge-type situation may be shaping up for Monday as cool air flowing in from the northeast will bring temperatures down a bit, along with rather gusty winds and a bit more cloud cover.

Our next good chance for rain will come with a cold front on Wednesday that will bring showers and a few thunderstorms but move through quickly.  This front appears unlikely to produce any severe weather here.
