Fayetteville shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 injured

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville police are searching for three suspects after an early morning shooting on Westhill Drive left one person dead and another injured.

Police responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 3 a.m. Monday at the 1900 block of Westhill Drive. Officers believe that approximately 15 people had been attending a party at the location when three men brandished weapons and began robbing those in attendance.

Police believe that during the course of the robbery, one person was shot and killed. A second person was shot and transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police believe the three suspects left the scene with two women in a white, newer model Nissan sedan.

Anyone with information concerning the homicide investigation or the identity of the suspects is asked to call detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department at (910) 433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
