We'll be close to average

Posted: Updated:

Average temperatures return this afternoon as highs top out in the upper 70s, close to 80°. More of the same is expected tomorrow before a weakening line of showers, maybe an isolated thunderstorm, arrive tomorrow evening. The line is expected to wash out across the southeast, but the exact location is yet to be determined. That means we could see widespread coverage of rain or a few spotty showers. Regardless, umbrellas might be a good idea to have tomorrow evening.

Cooler air filters in Thursday before retreating Friday.  Another storm system will enter the Deep South this weekend and bring us a chance of rain from Saturday through the extended.

TUESDAY:  Mostly sunny. High: 78

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear. Lows near 56.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. A few showers late. Highs near 81.

Wednesday Night: Few showers possible. Lows near 54.

THURSDAY:  Stray shower in the AM, then mostly sunny. High: 77

Thursday Night: Becoming mostly clear. Lows near 51.

FRIDAY:  Mostly sunny and warm. High: 80

Friday Night: Mostly clear. Lows near 57

SATURDAY:  Partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of rain late. High: 79

Saturday Night: Chance of rain. Lows near 60

SUNDAY:  Chance of rain. High: 80
