Organizers gear up for the annual Cannonball Run fundraiser

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

The annual Cannonball Run will be held this weekend. It's a fundraiser that benefits local children through several organizations. The Cannonball Run is put together by the North Columbus Kiwanis Club. Participants are put through the paces in a timed race that tests their wits, not their lead foot. The time is based on completing the course while driving the speed limit between pit stops. Drivers have to stop at the pit stops to find clues that will help them figure out where to go next. If you'd like to participate, the Cannonball Run begins at Harley Davidson of the Chattahoochee Valley on Williams Road. The start times are staggered throughout Saturday morning. You can sign up for a time online by clicking here.
