High pressure still remains for the weekend along the mid-Atlantic. A warm front will lift into the region ahead of a cold front helping to lift moist air into the region and increase our coverage for rainfall.

The cold front to our west will advance east and stall out over the region, allowing several disturbances to ride along the front to bring widespread coverage for rainfall through Monday.

The system eventually dissipates and the remaining moisture will bring isolated showers through Wednesday.

A strong cold area of low pressure will push the remaining system out by late Thursday bringing cooler and windy weather by the end of the week.
