Few more showers possible - WRBL

Few more showers possible

Posted: Updated:

Showers will be confined to areas south and east of Columbus. A stray shower is possible tomorrow, but not all that likely. Wednesday and Thursday will be drier before some interesting things happen this weekend.

The first interesting thing is a cut-off low spinning in the middle of the country come Thursday/Friday. This will sit there for a few days and will be the focus for clouds, rain and cooler temperatures. We'll sit on the southeastern fringe of this system and could deal with a swath of rain that develops somewhere along the Gulf Coast. This is a highly variable set-up, so a lot can change. A shift in the low's placement could cause us to be wetter/cooler or warmer/drier. We'll tweak the forecast as we get closer to the event.

MONDAY: Few showers south & east of Columbus. High: 79

Monday night: Partly to mostly cloudy. Low: 59

TUESDAY:  Stray shower possible, but most stay dry. High: 82

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows near 61.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs near 81.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear. Lows near 59.

THURSDAY:  Partly to mostly cloudy. High: 78

Thursday Night: Mostly clear. Lows near 57.

FRIDAY:  Few scattered showers later in the day. High: 76

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy with a few showers possible. Lows near 55

SATURDAY:  Chance of rain. High: 73

Saturday Night: Chance of rain. Lows near 53
