COLUMBUS, Ga. -

An autopsy is planned to learn more about the cause of death for a Columbus State University student who went into cardiac arrest in her downtown Columbus dorm room.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan said 19-year-old Giselle Ortiz was pronounced dead at a hospital early Saturday.

Bryan says that Ortiz was in her dorm, complained about not feeling well and went into cardiac arrest. Bryan said she was taking medication for lupus.

Ortiz was a music education student, who graduated last year from McEachern High School in Powder Springs. She had played trombone at the high school in Atlanta's northwest suburbs.
