Camp Joy accepting applications for campers

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Now in its 40th year of operation, Camp JOY is a 6-week long summer camp for children ages 7 – 11. There are 3 weeks for girls and 3 weeks for boys. Each child can go one week of their choice completely FREE!

There is no charge to the families for sending children to Camp JOY. Instead, their week at camp is generously underwritten by supporters from throughout the community.

At Camp JOY we seek to provide a camping experience that will encourage Christian growth and have a lasting positive impact on the children.

Camp JOY weeks are:

Girls' weeks: June 10 - 14 / 17 – 21 / 24 – 28

Boys' weeks: July 8– 12 / 15 – 19 / 22 – 26

For all interested persons, an application can be obtained by email, online at www.valleyrescuemission.org, or stop by our offices at 2903 2nd Avenue, Columbus, GA, 31904 Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. to pick one up.
