Deputy grabs alligator in Sarasota County

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL -

Sarasota deputy took into custody a different kind of a jay-walker Sunday afternoon near Jacaranda in Sarasota.

The deputy apprehended an eight foot alligator on the shoulder of the northbound lane of the roundabout.  Neighbors called the sheriff's office about the reptile.

Deputies turned the gator over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to be permanently relocated.
