Russell County prepares for Spanish Fort

SEALE, Ala. -

Russell County is preparing to play their playoff rival: Spanish Fort.

The Warriors travel to Mobile Friday to begin their Final Four series.

Coach Tony Rasmus is sending Jesse Nelson to the mound for game one, Todd Dial in game two.

The players seem confident, but Rasmus knows they have their work cut out for them.

"We are going in to this with a lot of determination," Nelson said. "We are going in with a lot of power because we have 34 game win streak and we want to keep it going. I guess redeem ourselves from last year."

"When we get off the bus in a lot of places, teams are beat," Rasmus said. "They say Russell County is coming and they are scared of us. I'm scared of Spanish fort that way. After two years of putting us out, I'm a little nervous about them."

Rasmus says his team has more talent. But, they were the more talented team last year as well.
