GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

A Goldsboro man and teen have been arrested after authorities say the two damaged a statue of Jesus at a Wayne County church.

Selah Christian Church reported that its Jesus statue was damaged on May 7. Authorities say the $500 statue was pushed over and broke as a result.

After investigating the incident, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested Joseph Siler II, 22, and Steve Futch Jr., 16 in connection with the case. Both suspects have been charged with injury to personal property.

Siler and Futch were both given a $500 bond each.
