POLK COUNTY, FL (WFLA) -

During a press conference, Wednesday, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described a home invasion and sexual battery that occurred in Poinciana.  "This was so outrageous. This is so horrific that it should stir the inner soul of every one in our community. We must all work together. We've got to have leads. We've got to put the people responsible, the animals responsible for that horrific attack on that lady in prison." said Judd.

Polk County detectives say at approximately 11:00 p.m. Monday night a man was forced into his home by two men.

According to detectives, after tying up the man and his father, the intruders rummaged through the house looking for valuables.  Detectives say the man's mother just came out of the shower when the intruders took her into another room where she was sexually battered.

Judd continued, "Before they left, they did a complete body wash of the victim with bleach."

Detectives are looking for two light-skinned Hispanic males.  One suspect is described as being approximately 6'1"; 200 pounds last seen wearing dark khakis and a gray hooded zip-up sweater.  The second suspect is described to be approximately 5'8"; 145 pounds and last seen wearing dark jeans and a gray hooded zip-up sweater. The second suspect may have the alias of Michael.

Both suspects wore gloves and ski masks, speak Spanish and English, and are between 26-38 years of age.

"We know that somebody knows something. We've got to get these two animals locked up." said Judd.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact Detective Jeanette Leonard at 863.298.6926 or 863. 298.6200.

Residents are reminded information can be provided anonymously by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1.800.226.8477, or by visiting www.tipsubmit.com.
