Man allegedly hits Electric Cowboy employee in head with a beer bottle

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

An Elizabethton, TN man is behind bars after an incident at The Electric Cowboy in Johnson City.

Employees there told police they were attempting to escort 32-year-old Dennis Fletcher out of the business when he allegedly struck an employee in the back of the head with a beer bottle.

Officers caught up with Fletcher after a foot chase. Authorities took him back to the scene where the victim and witnesses identified him as the suspect.

Fletcher was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and public intoxication. He was held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
