A different kind of circus comes to town

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. -

A new kind of circus is in Columbus.

Cirque du Soleil's Quidam is at the Civic Center this weekend...

It's the first time the Canadian franchise has made a stop in the valley, and spokesperson Jessica Leboeuf says it's not your typical three-ring act.

"We use mediums like dance music, theater, street performances, traditional circus, acrobatics and gymnastics, all of that combined in a really theatrical, very strong story line of a show," she says.

The show is in town for two days only.

Saturday night's performance is at 7:30. Sunday's shows are at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Tickets start at $35 for adults.
