TAMPA, FL (WFLA) -

Little girls with pediatric cancer enjoyed a day of royal fun Wednesday when the performers from Disney On Ice Presents Rockin' Ever After and local volunteers from the For a Day Foundation turned them into queens for a day at the St. Pete Times Forum.

The five girls ages 3 and 5 receive cancer treatments at the Children's Cancer Center. The event organizers with the For a Day Foundation, a local non-profit specializing in creating emotionally therapeutic experiences for seriously ill children, hoped this would help the children relax and reprieve from their demanding treatments.

Each of the five girls got their favorite princess ball gown and slippers when they got to the Forum. The volunteers from the foundation made crafts with them and gave them make-overs.

After getting all dolled up, the little princesses turned into queens at the crowning station. They received tiaras and scepters and went on to enjoy a signature ceremony with Disney On Ice Presents Rockin' Ever After princess.

The girls took pictures with the princess, and she read them a story with a message of hope and love. After the activities, the girls snacked on the light healthy treats served at the Forum.

The girls also received tickets to the Disney on Ice show.
