Juvenile in custody after failing to return to development center

BUTNER, N.C. -

The Department of Public Safety reports a juvenile identified as Akeem A. was arrested by Goldsboro police after failing to report back to the C.A. Dillon Youth Development Center in Butner after a home visit in Wayne County.

The Division of Juvenile Justice says the teenager was due at the Butner facility at 2:30 p.m. 

Goldsboro police picked up the juvenile at 6:15 p.m. and was taken to a juvenile detention center.
