COLUMBUS, Ga. -

Two Calvary Christian Knights signed letters of intent to play college athletics on Thursday.

Rodney Morris will play college basketball at Darton College, and Jacob Ammons will play baseball at Point University.

Both players credited Calvary with preparing them for the next level.

"Coming from an atmosphere where Christianity wasn't of importance, this was a great place for me to be in becoming a man," Morris said. "It helped me and molded me."

Ammons echoed that statement, saying Calvary's core teachings will stick with him.

"Everything I've learned here is Christ-centered," he said. "Through Christ, I can do anything that is in his will, to glorify him."

Both players hope to make immediate impacts as freshmen.
