FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Fayetteville Police are looking for two men who pistol-whipped an 84-year-old woman and robbed after playing Bingo in May.

Police said that on May 9 at 2 .m., the woman returned home after playing bingo at Bonanza Bingo. She parked in her garage and opened her car door when a man armed with a handgun approached and smashed her on the back of the head with his pistol.

The woman fell to the concrete floor and noticed a second man at the rear of her vehicle. The first man stole her purse and the two then fled in a vehicle that was waiting for them.

The woman called 911 and was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for medical assistance.

Fayetteville Police released surveillance images from a local eatery where the woman's financial card was used to purchase food right after the attack.

Anyone with information concerning the robbery or the identity of the suspects is asked to call Detective J. Sorie at (910) 237-9390 or Crimestoppers at (910) 483-TIPS (8477).
