RALEIGH, N.C. -

Behind the release of their seventh studio album, Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós will perform at the Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh.

Monday morning, the band released the detail of its up-coming fall U.S. tour -- a 20-date trek that includes a stop in Raleigh on Sept. 21.

Ticket information is not yet available.

Recognized for their ethereal sound and minimalist presentation, Sigur Rós is set to release "Kveikur," its seventh studio album and the follow-up to 2012's "Valtari," on June 18.

After the departure of keyboardist Kjartan Sveinsson last year, "Kveikur" is the first album by the band as a trio.

While many of the band's songs are sung in their native Icelandic tongue, singer Jónsi also sings in Hopelandic, a non-literal, unintelligible language.
