At approximately 10:20 p.m. this same date officers responded to a burglary in progress call at an apartment complex located in the 300 block of North Gay Street.  Upon arrival officers observed a subject exiting the rear door of the unit broken into.

When officers attempted to contact the person, later identified as Sistrunk, he fled on foot but was taken into custody minutes later.  A second subject, Tartt, was also taken into custody at the scene in connection to the burglary.

Both were transported to the Lee County Detention Center.  Sistrunk's bond was set at $4,000 while Tartt's was set at $3,000.
