AUBURN, Ala. -

Four people were arrested Sunday in connection with a shoplifting complaint in Auburn. Each person faces one or multiple theft charges.

Those arrested are: 32-year-old Shanita Dukes, Loranzo Hollis, 56, 39-year-old Anthony Ragster and Sherry Roach, 52. All are from Columbus.

On Sunday evening, officers responded to the 1700 block of South College Street. A store personnel said the four people had exited the store with more than $2,000 in merchandise that they had not bought.

As officers attempted to contact the suspects in the parking lot, one of them, Ragster, fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Dukes, Ragster and Roach were each charged with a second count of Theft of Property 2nd Degree after they were identified as having been involved in a previous shoplifting incident at the same business two weeks earlier.

The four were transported to the Lee County Detention Center to await bond.
