Autopsy shows no cause of death in teen found dead in Columbus parking lot

Posted: Updated:

Officials are still searching for answers in the death of an Alabama teen who was found dead inside a SUV in Columbus Friday.

Seventeen-year-old Steven Bradley Foster was found in the backseat of the vehicle which was parked at the CVS Pharmacy on Double Churches Road around 4:30 AM.

Saturday's autopsy revealed no physical cause of death. Muscogee County Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley said Foster did not have any cuts, abrasions or bruising.

Authorities are now awaiting the toxicology report, which can tell them if the young man ingested any drugs that may have played a part in his death. The report could take three to six months before it is complete.

On Friday, officials said the cause of death did not appear criminal.

Officials do not known how long Foster was inside the SUV but Foster's father told our media partner the Ledger-Enquirer that his son had run away from home a week ago.
