WRBL News 3 has announced plans to once again stream live the preliminary and final competitions of the 2013 Miss Georgia Pageant on its website, wrbl.com.
Preliminaries for the 69th annual pageant will be held Wednesday, June 19 through Friday, June 21st at the Bill Heard Theatre at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, located at 900 Broadway in Columbus.
The finals are set for Saturday, June 22nd beginning at 7:30 p.m.
"We are very excited to partner with the Miss Georgia Pageant on this project," said WRBL Vice-President and General Manager David Hart. "Miss Georgia is an event that Columbus is proud to host, and we're pleased to offer this service to family members, friends and fans of the contestants who cannot attend the pageant in person."
Beginning at 7:30 p.m. EDT each night, users will be able to log on to wrbl.com and click on a live link that will allow them to watch the pageant from a computer of tablet from anywhere in the world.
"We'll be utilizing new equipment that WRBL has invested in over the past year to make this year's online coverage of the pageant better than ever before," said Hart. "Traditionally we've utilize a small camera and very basic set-up to stream the preliminaries and finals. This year we'll be using technology that will provide a better, faster stream as well as higher end cameras and a remote switcher to deliver a better user experience."
