ASHEVILLE, N.C. -

 The Amber Alert for a missing 16-month-old was canceled Friday morning. According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety the child was brought in to the Asheville Police department by a relative of the abductor.

An alert was issued Thursday for 16-month-old Jayden Wilson Squire. He's about 2 ft. tall, weighing 23 pounds.  He has sandy blond hair and green eyes.  He was last seen wearing a diaper.

Police say 25-yr.-old Russell Allen Wilson Squire abducted Jayden.   Russell is a white male, 5 ft. 11 in. and weighs about 180 pounds.  He has long black hair he wears in dred locks, and green eyes.

Russell was last seen wearing a white shirt, pants and white Jordan tennis shoes.  He has a tattoo of a cross on his back.

Police say the suspect was last seen walking away with Jayden from the Thunderbird Motel in Asheville.
